The sixth event on the American continent of visual artist Luminita Gliga from Romania held recently (April 14, 2013) in Florida, USA. The dream to exhibit in Florida began earlier due to the invitations I received to participate in art fairs taking place in Miami in December.
The 30 paintings that were in the exhibition titled “Flori de departe / Faraway Flowers” could be present in U.S. being supported by Catena, by President Mrs. Anca Vlad. I have been received here of wonderful people, of real Romanian sensibility for the guests from home. I was particularly impressed by the interest and commitment to be involved in this event by Mr. John Banu, President of the Romanian-American League, Mr. Ovidius Lebada, President of the Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce and Priest Adrian Balescu.

Luminita with Mr. Ovidius Lebada, President of the Romanian-American Board of Trade (Chamber of Commerce) and Mr. John Banu, President of the Romanian-American League at the exhibition “Flori de departe / Faraway Flowers”.
I had the honor and joy to meet Ms. Victoria London, Honorary Consul of Romania in Miami with whom we talked about art and about my painting. “Faraway Flowers” I consider them my soul flowers for the Romanians placed in this part of America, and of course the entire audience who attended the opening. The idea for the theme of the exhibition ” Faraway Flowers” was suggested to me by the American artist, my best friend, F Ric Blum.
