The Embassy of Romania in Washington D.C. hosted a reception celebrating the National Day of Romania, on December 5, 2013, event attended by the members of the Romanian community in the United States of America. The Romanian-American Community of Florida was officially represented by Mr. John I. Banu, the President of the Romanian American League (RAL) and Dr. Fulvia Banu, RAL’s Medical Programs Coordinator.
In his speech, the Romanian Ambassador to the United States of America, His Excellency Iulian Buga, underlined the importance of the Romanian-American Community in strengthening the bilateral cooperation between Romania and the United States of America. Ambassador Buga expressed the Embassy’s readiness to work with the Romanian community and reaffirmed the Embassy’s support for future projects and initiatives intended to assist the Romanian-Americans living in this country.
