As a non-profit organization, Romanian American League, initiated a forum and a campaign to obtain the support of the Romanian American Community to have a Consulate General of Romania in South Florida. Due to relentless efforts and lobbing made by the League, the Romanian Government and its Embassy from Washington DC, had agreed to accommodate an Itinerant Consulate to operate in Hollywood Florida.
It is a first initiative with a great achievement for the League. The Itinerant Consulate office will cover all sorts of legal services provided by a General Consulate with the same fees.
The first working days were in March 27 and 28, 2014, with the intent to have regular scheduled services furthermore. The community members are encouraged to complete the survey initiated by the League, available on its website, to determine the necessity of it and its frequency. Prior registration and appointments are encouraged and necessary to avoid long waiting for the solicitants as well as its timing schedule.
This consulate access convenience is treated as requested and provided service for the members of Romanian American League and they have priority in accessing this office. Based on their membership level, these services might be free of any charge, except for the consulate regular ones. Please consult your membership level to asses your benefits. For any other members of the Romanian American Community, a convenience fee will apply.
The League advice the community members to register as its members at one of the membership levels, to asses its size and unity, the base for further initiatives in its benefits.
