‘I voted for a powerful Romania in Europe, respected both in Brussels and in Strasbourg, a prosperous Romania, with jobs, with the confidence that we can build the country we live in. I voted for some people whom I trust they have fought and continue to fight for us, regardless of the qualities we have, the preparation we have, the ethnicity we have, the religion we have. If we are born in Romania, we shall have the representatives we deserve, after May 25. And [I voted] for you, too. I voted for a free Romania, where we can trust the state institutions, for the people in charge to represent us and to have respect for us all,’ Zgonea said.
Valeriu Zgonea voted at No 166 polling station of Craiova (southern Romania).
