In Romania, in 2011, there were identified 21,277 groups of enterprises, out of which 5,555 all-resident enterprise groups and 15,722 multinational enterprise groups (101 domestically controlled and 15,621 foreign controlled), according to data made public by the National Institute of Statistics on Tuesday.
Most of all-resident enterprise groups are formed by 2 or 3 enterprises.
In 2011, 26 percent of enterprises groups identified in Romania were all-resident and 90 percent of them had 2 or 3 enterprises.
Most of enterprise groups from Romania activate in trade, manufacturing or construction.
In 2011, the biggest share of enterprise groups was identified in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles section (21 percent), manufacturing (16 percent), construction (14 percent).
According to the share in the number of employees, most of multinational enterprise groups from Romania are controlled by Germany, France or Netherlands.
The results of 2011 indicate that according to the share in the number of employees, the first place is held by multinational enterprise groups controlled by legal or natural persons from Germany (17 percent), the second place is held by those controlled by France (11 percent), while 8 percent of multinational enterprise groups are controlled by Netherlands.
According to the share in the number of employees in total multinational foreign controlled enterprise groups, the multinational enterprise groups controlled by Germany prevail in manufacturing (7 percent), in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles section (5 percent) and information and communications (1 percent).
The multinational enterprises groups controlled by France prevail in manufacturing (4 percent), in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (2 percent) and in financial and insurance activities (1 percent).
Regarding the multinational enterprise groups controlled by Netherlands, 2 percent are registered in manufacturing, 2 percent in information and communications and 1 percent in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles section. AGERPRES
