The national news agencies of Armenia and Romania – Armenpress and Agerpres respectively – signed an agreement on cooperation and information exchange in Minsk.
Agerpres Director Alexandru Giboi, speaking to Armenpress representatives, said that he is confident that the agreement signed between the two news agencies will raise the level of information awareness. “This cooperation will enable the two friendly peoples to have a better understanding of the developments, which take place in both countries,” Armenpress quotes Director Alexandru Giboi as saying on June 20.
Armenpress Director Aram Ananyan underscored that the development and strengthening of ties with the European national news agencies is of a certain importance for the Armenian news agency. Among other things, Ananyan emphasized: “In this respect, signing the agreement on information exchange between Armenpress and Agerpres can play a significant role.”
The ties between the two news agencies have deep historic roots and the cooperation is aimed at strengthening the mutual understanding, organising common press events and, to an equal extent, increasing the level of information between the two countries, Armenpress reporter said from Minsk.
