Armenian news agency becomes ABNA-SE observer

The Armenian National News Agency ARMENPRESS has become an observer to the Association of the Balkan News Agencies – South-East Europe (ABNA-SE) during the body’s meeting that ended Wednesday in the medieval Sibiu city (272 km north-west of Bucharest).

ARMENPRESS Managing Director Aram Ananyan thanked AGERPRES and ABNA-SE President Alexandru Giboi, the AGERPRES National News Agency Managing Director for the rendered support as well as the organizers of the first meeting of the Association hosted by Romania, in Sibiu, over Dec. 8-11.

AGERPRES, which is for the first time holding the ABNA-SE presidency closed a cooperation and information exchange agreement with ARMENPRESS in Minsk, in this June.

Managing Director Giboi, speaking with ARMENPRESS officials voiced confidence that the agreement signed by the two news agencies would prompt a rise in the information level in Romania and Armenia.

Forging fresh collaborations is one of the goals set by the new ABNA-SE president.

AGERPRES National News Agency on Monday, in Sibiu signed a partnership with the Macedonian Information Agency (MIA), by which they are to exchange news flows and photographs, which means mutual promotion, Giboi had said on that occasion.AGERPRES
