On the occasion of this meeting, President Razvan Burleanu also gave an interview for the UEFA webpage, in which he reiterated his intention to initiate a new way of thinking and to start new projects following the UEFA model so as to make the Romanian football stronger.

‘I truly believe that this model represents a true source of inspiration for the sports organisations both at European and international level,’ said the President of the FRF.

Razvan Burleanu added: ‘The HaTrick Programme is very important, given that we need to invest in the future generations. Romania needs investments in sports infrastructure, especially for the sake of the younger generations, and this is one of the priorities of my mandate. At the same time, we need to invest in good governance practices and in institutional development. Another objective is to make it so that each and every child in Romania to have the chance to play football: to have a ball and a modern field where to play, while being guided by a professional coach. This sport must be accessible to everyone and, if we succeed to achieve these objectives, I strongly believe that we can achieve absolutely all the objectives that were proposed.’ AGERPRES
