Romania is attending the Turin International Book Fair due on May 16-20, and La creativita Dove osano le idee (Creativity. Where Ideas Dare) is the theme of the 26th edition of the event, this year.
It is for the fifth time in a row that the Venice-based Romanian Institute for Culture and Humanistic Research (IRCCU), financially supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute (IRC) organize Romania’s participation in Italy’s most important book show, where our country is to present a national stand called LIBROmania al Salone di Turin (BookRo- mania at Turin Book Fair).
Located in the Fair’s 3rd ward P10-RO9, Romania’s stand, conceived after a concept inspired from the main theme of this year edition of the event, includes a book sale space staged with the help of the Hmanitas Publishing House’s Book Shop, a space devoted to the literary events to happen at Romania’s stand, a radio booth, to play host for the Radio Turin International crew, a media partner of Romania’s participation in the Turin Book Fair, and a tourist infopoint organized in partnership with Romania’s National Tourism Office in Italy, informs IRCCU Venice release.
The events staged by the Venice branch of IRCCU during the Turin International Book Fair bring together more than 30 guests, Romanian writers, representative of both Romania and Italian publishing houses, translators of Romanian literature into Italian, journalists, historians and philosophers interested in various fields of the Romanian culture, and representative for the Turin Book Fair, such as writers, translators, cultural journalists, publishers, literary critics, professors, teachers, AGERPRES
