A trecut si cel de al doilea tur pentru alegerea Presedintelui Romaniei. Asa cum era de asteptat, prezenta la sectiile de votare a fost foarte mare. Diaspora si-a aratat aderenta si interesul pentru viata social politica a Romaniei si a venit sa dovedeasca acest fapt. Romanian American League s-a implicat si de aceasta data prin ajutorul dat la organizarea sectiei de votare din Hollywood FL. Adresam multumiri D-lui Petrica Cioara, proprietarul firmei Orthocycle Inc. si a spatiului unde a fost organizata sectia de votare. Eforturile financiare si logistice ale dansului au fost mari si au influentat pozitiv atmosfera patriotica a evenimentului.

Pentru informare, A doua sesiune a Consulatului Itinerant in Hollywood Florida, a avut loc in perioada 25-27 Septembrie, 2014.  Cu acest prilej un numar mare de solicitari au primit asistenta consulara legala oferita de Domnul Consul General Cristinel Petrescu. In a recent interview to Agerpres, Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) Thorbjorn Jagland voices satisfaction over the fact that Romania has not taken the same route in the European elections as France and other countries did, setting a good example and showing that there is a culture in Romania of not going with the flow. Jagland argues that the explanation for this is the fact that Romania already experimented extreme political behaviour and does not want to repeat the experience. He also says there is more tolerance in this part of Europe for ethnic and religious diversity.
