Romanian Gov’t approves acquisition of F-16 aircraft

The Romanian Government on Wednesday passed a draft piece of legislation concerning the acquisition by Romania of multi-role aircraft that will submitted it to Parliament for final approval, the Press Office of the Government reports. The piece of legislation is aimed at Romania achieving operational air capabilities included in the first phase of the initial transition time in the design and gradual achievement of Romania’s air defence capabilities under the Multi-Role Aircraft of the Romanian Air Forces programme. Romanian Consulate Services Coming Soon to South Florida

Mr. Cristian David, Deputy Minister for Diaspora visited the Romania Embassy from Washington, DC.   Mr. John Banu,  the President of the Romanian American League, used this opportunity to go there and meet with  Mr. David,  to convey the South Florida Romanian American community’s  desire to have a General Consulate  in Fort Lauderdale. Romanian national radio broadcaster’s drama Suzana wins bronze at New York International Radio Festival

Radio play Suzana produced by the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Corporation (SRR) has been declared the Bronze Radio Winner at this year’s edition of the New York International Radio Festival. Private labels account for 12 pct of total value of consumer goods market

Private labels have gained ground at an accelerated pace in recent years, coming to account for 12 percent of the total value of the consumer goods market, compared to 2% in 2007, shows a GfK survey sent to Agerpres. The number of households that bought at least once a private label from any retail format has reached the maximum as early as in 2011 – with more than 9 out of 10 Romanian households having bought private labels.
