Romania’s exports hit a record level of 4.7 billion euros in October 2013, up by almost 10 percent compared with the same month of last year in values expressed in lei, and by 5.5 percent compared with September 2013, while Romanian exports advanced 8.5 percent January through October 2013 compared with the same period of the previous year, in values expressed in lei. In Memoriam Daniela Banu Daniela Banu was one of the founding members of the Romanian American League. She worked as the Air Quality Division Director for Broward County Government. She passed away peacefully from cancer on September 29, 2013 in Orlando, Florida with family at her side. She is survived by her daughter Andreea Banu Reyes, her three grandchildren, Taylor Ann (10), Maya Daniela (7), Chase Andrew (4), her sister Adriana and her ex-husband John Banu. Craiova-based (southern Romania) Ford car plant is temporally halting production of B-Max cars, as of Friday, because of a falling demand on the European market. Approximately 2,500 employees of the plant are currently found in a short time working situation, following the halt of production.
