A plant of oil drilling components and systems opened at Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova County (southern Romania), in the privately-owned Ploiesti West Park as a facility of US company Lufkin Industries, on a 140-million-US-dollar investment. Data released by Lufkin officials indicate that the facility covers 330,000 square metres comprising a plant equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies as well as a modern maintenance and repair workshop. The Romanian Government on Wednesday passed a draft piece of legislation concerning the acquisition by Romania of multi-role aircraft that will submitted it to Parliament for final approval, the Press Office of the Government reports. Private labels have gained ground at an accelerated pace in recent years, coming to account for 12 percent of the total value of the consumer goods market, compared to 2% in 2007, shows a GfK survey sent to Agerpres.
